New Hybrid Runtime Environment (HRE).
If you’re using InformaCast Fusion in a non-telephony environment (i.e. without IP phones or a Unified Communications Manager server), you can now use InformaCast Fusion’s SIP functionality to configure your access to phone, DialCast, or voice menu features.
New Way to Trigger Notifications with CallAware.
Calls that use the InformaCast Fusion ECC profile defined in Unified Communications Manager result in call routing requests being sent to InformaCast Fusion asking it for call control guidance. InformaCast Fusion permits these calls while also notifying the CallAware feature of the routing requests. Since these routing requests pertain to a particular transformed DN that has been called, they can be matched with a CallAware routing request to send the message template you selected to the recipients you specified and, depending on your settings, also record the call.
Trigger Notifications with Incoming CAP Alerts.
Inbound CAP allows you to trigger a notification when CAP alerts that match your defined rules are sent by various Singlewire-managed sources. InformaCast Mobile/Fusion monitors several public safety organizations' CAP feeds. When these organizations send a CAP alert, InformaCast Mobile/Fusion "sees" the alert and compares its information with the criteria you have configured within your inbound CAP rules (e.g. the text CAP alerts must contain along with their language, location, and category). If the CAP alert matches your rule's criteria, the message template assigned to your rule is sent out to its recipients. Depending on the setup of your message template, your notification’s Subject and Body fields may remain as originally configured or they may contain the CAP alert's information.
Trigger a Notification with an Email.
Inbound Email allows you to trigger a notification when an email is sent to a monitored account. Depending on the setup of your message template, your notification’s Subject, Body, Audio, and Image fields may remain as originally configured or they may contain the incoming email’s information.
Trigger a Notification with an RSS Feed.
Inbound RSS allows you to link an RSS feed to a specific InformaCast Mobile/Fusion message template and trigger notifications whenever new feed information becomes available. Depending on the setup of your message template, your notification’s Subject and Body fields may remain as originally configured or they may contain the RSS feed’s information.
Expire a Message Template.
You can now set a date and time for when a notification will automatically expire. Expiring a message template means that users will no longer be able to respond to confirmation requests attached to it and (once sent) this notification will be removed from the list of outstanding notifications for Inbound CAP and Inbound RSS recipients.
Expanded Support for VDI Environments.
The latest version of the InformaCast Desktop Notifier, which is compatible with InformaCast Fusion 3.6.0, now supports several Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) products: VMWare Horizon 7, Citrix XenDesktop 7.4, and VMware vSphere 6.5.
New Rule Filters. Due to the expansion of VDI support, two new rule filters, Reported IPv4 Address and Reported Name, have been added to InformaCast Fusion to allow you to filter by the client IP address and name of the true endpoint device. In a VDI environment, this is no longer where the InformaCast Desktop Notifier (IDN) is running, but instead where the VDI client connection originates from (which does not have any other extra InformaCast Fusion software installed on it). These rule filters can be used when creating device and/or activation groups with rules, and when managing license filters.
Automatically Remove Unregistered IDN Instances.
A new dropdown menu on the Network Parameters Details page allows you to automatically remove configured and unregistered IDN instances after a set number of days. Removed IDN instances will re-register with InformaCast Fusion if reconnected to your network, but they will reappear as either unconfigured or automatically added depending on the status of the Automatically Add IDN Instances and LPI Paging Zones checkbox.
